What a stunning looking car! The anticipation waiting for the arrival must have been a real treat. Coincidently, my oem csl bootlid came from Italy from a member who goes by BuGy on the e46 forum. Great work and look forward to updates.

Looks good! Much better without the Dinan badge IMO

^^ Woa what a coincidence in names/locations! OEM CSL FTW!

^ Thanks! I feel like it looks a little naked now, since I was used to the badge. I don't like the plate frame at all, so that will replaced with a plain black frame soon. I think in a few years I will put the Dinan trunk badge on, when the E46 is completely off the radar.

Simple question -
Took the airbag warnings off of the visors this past weekend. Used a hairdryer which helped, most came off. But some glue was left behind. Confirming that water-based Goo-Off or something is the proper trick from here?

^ Will let ya know what I figure out!

Also, decided to try out AKG 90A RTABs. Will likely keep my Dinan Monoball RTABs to reuse later. Getting some other rear end work done, so the labor was easiest now.
Now in LA, figured it'd be nice to (1) take chance to compare any differences since my car came with the Dinan pieces, and (2) soften the ride just a hair (monoballs are really overkill for me and these streets right now).

But, this is how they arrived. It seems like I am missing 1/2 of the order, plus the aluminum sleeves? As advertised it shows 2x this (narrow faces together to form 1 piece), plus the sleeves. Not sure what a "full set" is supposed to look like, maybe this is all I need.
I emailed them, but it's Friday PM so might find something quicker here. Thanks!

*** AKG realized they sent me FCABs. So, RTABs will be on there way shortly. Planned on using their 90A FCABs eventually anyway so I am tempted to hold on to these...

And not that I need this piece for rigidity, but I was suckered in by Dinan's October 15% sale... And ordered a rear tower bar.
More than anything, it's to protect the BSW subwoofer/enclosure right above it from other contents of the boot.

Installed these Storm Motorwerks NAV knobs (aluminum) today. I got them to match the pedals and ZHP knob because I felt that aluminum was out of place. But now I think these stand out a bit much. The illumination is nice and they spin nicely, but not sold on the looks. Maybe a case of "less is more." That said, they were packaged nicely and feel like jewelry.

Thoughts?

Since you're asking…

I feel the aluminum knobs look out of place. One can't see the pedals anyway when sitting in the car, and the shifter barely has any aluminum on it (not enough to require these to 'tie' anything together, imo).

And it's not like the Nav is anything special to look at either; so why draw extra attention to it.

I'm in the less-is-more club, however.

That being said, the car looks great.

What luck on getting the glue off the visors?

^ I think you're definitely right. Will figure out Storm's return policy. Appreciate the words!
No luck with the glue yet, haven't tried anything since the hairdryer. Will pick up some goo-off (water based) next time I am at a store (rec'd in searches).

Why not just powder coat? Is that your mini next to your car?

Powder Coating the knobs seems wasteful. They'd likely lose illumination, it'd double the price, and it'd look back to.. stock, which is free. We'll see, I can probably get used to them but why force myself to ...

Nope, neighbor's Countryman.
