Agree to an extent. I elaborated more in my post above. I'm just thinking that's the price point it has to be at for it to be both desirable and sell out quick.

So I could see that putting an M2 CSL maybe somewhere around $70-75k.
My local dealer has an M4CS and an M3CS, both in blue.

The M4 is $106k

I also think it costs less than the mfr's are given credit for to make some of these changes. Look at what Porsche was able to include with the 981 Spyder over the GTS for around $10k difference in base msrp. If we were speculating on that, I think many would have scoffed at the idea that Porsche could offer what's included with the Spyder for only $10k more (different engine, front and rear bumper, unique top, etc).

Have you seen the carbon hood/trunk/roof prices? Granted would be cheaper as a factory package but still those have to be $5-10k right off the bat. Now the M2C is $70-75k already and even if 100-150lbs lighter is still no where near a Cayman and really is just back to stock 2018 “regular” M2 weight.

And no motor changes yet (not that they’re really needed)

And I really am not sure what the R packed over a 981 GTS or S (was there a GTS then?). I thought it basically got a sport exhaust for 10hp and lost a lot of weight and some suspension / aero improvements.
