Yes, I had to argue with his insurance a bit to get a reasonable value. The hre's and bbk's were buggered up and the car was totaled obviously. In the end I wasn't being unreasonable and they gave me something closer to replacement value.

I should have yanked the diff, rebuilt lsd and 4.10 rp, but I was over it.

My first car in 1975. It was a 1975 Mercury Capri with a 2.8L V6 and manual trans. I added sway bars, quad exhaust and some stiffer bushings. I couldn't find a pic but but this one is like it down to the color and exhaust. It might even be my car! I had oem wheels with sticky Pirelli CN36 tires. It was a pretty sweet car with good torque. Mine did not have a trailer hitch. I don't miss the TR7 that I bought next. After that was a first-year 1978 Saab 99 Turbo and then two more Saab Turbos. I'd like to have the first one back as there were so few of them and it had the best turbo whistle.
