Default Achilles motor sports brake ducts

Tried getting my car back together this morning with the Achilles Motorsport brake cooling plates and they don't even remotely fit. When the caliper goes on the plate is sitting where the brake pad goes. ****ed up my brake pad and powder coating before I noticed. I'll get a pic up in a few but has anyone had problems similar?

Ended up calling Achilles motorsports and was informed that the plates DO NOT fit stock M3 brakes...even though their website clearly states "Also works well with OEM M3 brakes." Wish I'd gone with hard motorsports instead that appear to be trimmed properly to fit already.

Buyer beware. Customer service was also less than pleasant

This is what it takes to fit these to stock brakes

Wow. That totally is not acceptable. I was looking at getting brake ducts so will definitely steer in the direction of the Hard or BW versions. Sorry you had to deal with that.

Achilles will make good on this? They'll give you a refund?

the guy was a total ass hat. Said "these are very high performance and we can't fit them to everything."

When I read to him what the website said about fitting stock m3 brakes he got an attitude and told me thats not what it says... even though i had the web page in front of me. Then he told me i would need to trim them to fit and because they're high performance

I would have told him that I would wait while he pulls up the website and reads it to me.

I would do a few things....

1) Dispute the charge on your CC
2) Call them back and tell them to look at this forum. For sure they already lost at least one customer (me). You've been a helpful member of this forum as I do a massive (to me) rebuild from a wreck. I am ordering brake ducts and it will not be from them. I don't have time to give my money to companies with bad products and corresponding customer service. Hopefully they will lose a few other sales.

Sadly my parents got me them for Christmas 2015....yes my car has been sitting that long and I just finally got around to trying to install them. Live and learn I guess. I'll cut them to fit and never recommend them again
