Earlier today I swapped in a driver side Vader seat (that is heated and automatic just like my Lux seat) and I could get all the wires on the bottom linked back in except ONE. (I tried looking at DIY's for swaps and I followed the instruction of keeping the cars battery unplugged through the whole process also)
The wire I couldn't connect was the small tiny brownish red/yellow combo'd wire. It almost looks as if the female and the male mirror each other so they don't want to link up. I looked up what the wires purpose was, and I originally thought it was just for the seats being heated, but after seeing the airbag light tick off and then stay on (in the first/second position) I started to think likewise. Some people in other threads I've read suggest just getting it checked/cleared so of course I'll look into that, but even if it isn't the wire I'd still like to find a way to connect that damn thing. ![]() If anyone could shed some light on this situation it would be greatly appreciated. My apologies for the noobiness, once again. ![]() Last edited by thirtysixnick; Wed, Mar-01-2017 at 04:08:43 AM. |

What year car from what year donor? Are you paying attention to pyrotechnic seat belt receptacles versus mechanical?

They came out of a 99. My sedan is a 97, produced in April.

They aren't visually different other than the fact connectors just look mirrored. From a further away view they look like they should connect, but they don't. I'll try and get a picture of the underside later today when I get home. What is obvious to do though?? |

He said if they are visually different you obviously need to swap them.

They are not. 3/97 was the seat belt receptacle change. Both seats should have pyrotechnic "accordion" receptacles. I'm unsure what issue he is having, pictures would help.

Oddly I have a similar problem to the OP. I have a 96 lux and I recently swapped in a set of vaders that were from a 95. Both seats have the same style receptacles without the accordion. My airbag light has also been on after the seat swap and im not sure why. |
