Default Prices on E36 M3s are no joke...

No affiliation, but I just saw this ad and thought "holy sh*t, that's a lot of moolah!" Even with the low miles and popular color (Estoril), just sayin...

In the end, it's akways an asking price.

Anyone can put his for sale for $50k.

Getting it is whole different story.

1 owner, lowish miles, good color, in excellent condition.

$24k looks right.

Top of the market, there have been several sales in that range over the last few months.

TBH the market is only going up. Demand will increase once these cars hit 25 years or once other earlier M models hit unreachable numbers.

I think he'll get the money without issue. I personally would of waited until April to post.

I am not surprised one bit. Super low mile mint condition E36 M3's are not easy to find.

Imagine what the euro models will go for in the future. Back in December I was talking to someone who deals in rare and unique BMW's and he told me it's almost impossible to find mint low mileage E36's in Europe.

Let's put this in perspective. Let's just say for arguments sake that roughly the same number of E36 M3's were sold as the E46 M3s. This means you only have roughly half as many E36 M3 euro versions ever available. So yes the US M3's will obviously go up and I suspect euro models will go for a pretty penny in the future.

Meanwhile, I'm DDing the living hell out of my TV E36 M3 haha.

That's a gorgeous car though. Gotta love how all the NA BMW M's of yesteryear are all going up. Now's a great time to pick them up IMO.

After 25 years you can import the EU version, right? What would that do with US spec prices? Going down? Or no influence at all?

No influence likely. It costs too much to import enough of them to affect the market. It might drop the sky high asking prices of some of the creampuffs.

I know for sure the California market would not be affected at all. Imports to California have to go through ~$6,000 in certification and testing.
