Default Just added my E46 M3 to my existing classic car insurance policy

This topic reminded me of this. I just signed with grundy. What's nice is that they're ten minutes from me. Got 40k guaranteed appraisal for $609 per year.

What are the stipulations?

I gotta do this, but I want to make sure I get at least 5k miles per year and be able to drive it to work at least once a week.

The exact restrictions they gave me: and no restriction on miles per year.

Our restrictions are as follows:

In consideration of the premium charged, it is hereby understood and agreed that any vehicle insured under this policy will be used for hobby purposes and exhibition and will not be used primarily for general transportation. It will not be used for backup transportation, or for errands, except for occasional pleasure use. It will not be driven to work or school or used for business or commercial purposes. The vehicle will not be used for towing, hauling or off road use.
It is further understood and agreed that any vehicle insured under this policy will not be used to participate in any rally gymkhana, speed contest, race or timed event of any kind.

I went with the $100 deductible. Still cheap though annually.

Grundy QUick quote was 456 a year for my M3. I live in Michigan. Going to def give them a call Monday. I pay 120 a month when it comes out of storage a year for full coverage and only drive it in the summer. Damn thats a good price

I was thinking about doing this but i wouldn't be allowed to drive anywhere making it pointless owning the m. I only have the summer to enjoy it so it's already limited.

Oh, was it Hagerty then that would allow you to take it to work once in a while?

So Grundy, no mileage cap, but no using the car for anything but pleasure.

Hagerty - 5k mileage cap but can take to work?

I think you're right. Grundy worked better for my scenario. Plus they were cheaper. And ten minutes from me. Although the owner brings his dogs to the office. And one bit me from behind doing a sneak attack .

I got a quote of $562 per year with Hagerty including driving it to work a few times, estimated 5k a year total mileage and $25k value for modified vehicle.

Seems perfect. Even with my 2 other cars on the policy, the M is still $900/year with Progressive (and put at 5k miles per year)!
