Thanks for looking in!
Yes, I have added packaging and pricing to post #1. But I need a bit more time to work out the details regarding the group buy discount rates.

I've also started the lists in post #2.

So as prices can only get better than what's said in post #1, and the lists are active, I'm hoping people will feel comfortable to sign up.

List and delivery order will be based on sign up date, deposit date and final payment date.
Deposit is 50% of chosen package.

Right on, so does this mean the kits are now available? And will be available permanently? Or is this a limited time deal?

It means that, if enough* people sign up for a kit, I'll be giving giving the laser cutter my green light when he's back from his summer break the second week of August.

And as he promised me to cut my components first thing when he's back, I should have them mid August. So I could start delivery the second half of August.

Delivery order will be based on sign up date, deposit date and final payment date.

* I'd like to see at least 20 kits spoken for before I feel comfortable placing the order with the laser cutter.

If this is a success I'm considering to start a small business (I have some more ideas/products on the back burner).
But as I'll then need to cover taxes, forum sponsoring fees and such, I'm not sure what the prices will be.

Kind of fluffy answer, but the best I can do at this point.

I guess I'm politely trying to say:
If your on the fence, or have been waiting for the right opportunity to get one of these, please buy it now.

Haha sounds good brother, you got me sold, only issue I have is I won't have the funds till mid August so if you wanna put my name down you can or I can let you know when I have the funds and sign up then. Should be like 12 August.

What other projects you have planned if you don't mind me asking?

OK, August 12th is fine.

But for yourself and anyone else out there that would like to get in on this, but don't have the funds right now, I'd like to say it would still be of much value to me if you could sign up and provide a partial deposit/down payment. And a final payment could be done later. Maybe even after this group buy ends.

This way I'd:
•Understand what sort of interest there is out there
•Have some help funding this
•Be able to offer more people a good deal

So please don't be afraid to contact me. I'll be keeping track of the deposits/down payments etc.

Thanks in advance!
Vince

Added volume discount and more information on why load relief of the RACP is needed.

Volume discounts:

  • 15-20 kits - 5%

  • 21-30 kits - 10%

  • 31-> kits - 15%

All kits containing the laser cut components will count towards the total number

------------------

IMHO, this video (credit to James of Redish) clearly illustrates why the rear bar is needed. The rear bar relieves the RACP from most of the load causing the stress that in turn causes these popped spot welds and cracks. The rear cross bar simply "sends" the load to the chassis legs without it having to pass these areas of flimsy sheetmetal and spot welds.

Super interested in this, need to sell it to the wife. I have read most of the associated threads, but to clarify/confirm if I buy the complete kit (front gusset and rear bar) and install kit I would still need reinforcement plates as well to be as covered as you could get with out the Mason X Bar? Vince, do you not recommend a specific type or brand of plates?

Anyone in the Jacksonville, Florida area looking at doing this to split shipping costs?

Thanks
Jonathan
