Driving 34K miles a year, you have plenty of preventative maintenance to take care of, i'm sure. Also:

-Your rear deck is purple from sun fading. Remove it, dye it black again with some Duplicolor spray dye and reinstall.
-Your side markers don’t match the tail lights and corners. Get some amber side markers, or smoked corners/tails so the lighting matches.
-You’re missing an engine cover plug.
Thanks for pointing that out, now I CAN'T MISS IT haha.

So the side markers (at least for now are staying) I've looked at my color with the correct lenses and I'm not as thrilled by them. But in an effort to keep this car stock when a good set comes up they will be switched.

Plug is on order!

By the way, thank you for creating the sticky thread about buying an E36 M. It was very helpful for me and I'm sure it will help others for a long time.

Edit: we have just about the same mileage too. Is your build date 11/96?
I think the dark colors are a better venue for the touches.

Cheers!

Could you point me to somewhere that will sell just the driver OEM besides the dealer?

Ebay, maybe ECS. Not too familiar with US based suppliers.

You said you didn't have any work to do...I couldn't let that slide. We all have a perpetual to-do list. You're not exempt from that maintenance/mod/resto sickness.

Glad the info thread helped.

That's true. I suppose relative to the list of things I usually have when buying a car (because previously I've only bought classic cars) this new list is almost non-existent haha

Resisting the mod bug will be tough for me, but I've committed to it...I think

So you are saying our E36 M3's are NOT "Classic"?

Well...

Again, it's relative. When I traded in a 1971 for it and it is now parked next to a car from 1967, sometimes another 1967, a 1968, and a 1974, it becomes hard to label a 1997 as a classic!
