Thanks Nick.My M46 has been gone several years ,now i've stumbled across a nice E36 M3 with low miles,1 owner.
You've refreshed my memories...I may just buy the E36,cuss i love'm.

Great info, an E36 m3 was my dream car back when I was a kid driving my first (of 2) e30 convertibles..I just stumbled across a "great deal" on a 99 & picked it up. Even tho I'm post buying my first e36 m, this was very informative & helpful & brought some well needed clarity to a few things my shop was discussing w/ me..

Wow, forgot all about this. Glad with the passage of time most of the owners and info came back.
