Next order of business should be to reproduce risers that fit OEM wings. I want a set so bad.

I was thinking of getting these off ebay Germany until I saw this post.

They look fine except it's really thin abs. I'm thinking they will loose their shape in hot California temps.

Finally have some positive wickerbill news. A sample was made but the die still needs tweaks. I'm told this will happen soon. Even though it isn't 100% right, I was super happy to see something made!

And the GT Tray strut kits are moving along nicely. I was given prototype mounts and the machine shop received the stock to do 50 sets of rods all done by hand!! Soon as I have the rods I can sign off on the fitment and a full run of mounts will be made.

No wicker updates yet, but the front spoiler tray struts are nearing completion.

Enough rods to do 50 full sets... all hand made off the original BMW rods.

The goal is for the rods to work with the OEM front spoiler tray in two different configurations. One is the OEM/Replica mounting with the tray able to extend out to oem max of 95mm past the bumper lip. The other is mounting to the Motion Motorsports panel (or my own creation) with 115mm of tray extension.

OEM mounting and rods installed. Tray holes are drilled for 115mm tray extension. In this position all rods point straight forward.

Here are the holes drilled to fit the struts at the 95mm OEM position. In this position the middle rod remains straight forward while the outer rods see a toe out with the wider spread outer holes.

Outer rod

Miscellaneous details

Flat bottom blind holes drilled to sink the screw heads

How the outer mounts attach

Middle mount

With bumper strip on outer mount

Middle mount with bumper strip on (bottom edge of the strip being up is intended fitment)

I'll have more tray strut updates once I get the setup mounted on my brother's M3 with the motion motorsport panel.
