So, I fixed my oil leak by replacing the o-rings in the oil filter housing (some call it the freeze plug)...while putting back the components, for some silly no reasons I decided to spray WD40 on the idler pulley although there was no problem...now the idler pulley squeaks.
DON'T spray WD40 on idler pulley EVER!

lol.
WD40 is a water displacement chemical. It also is damaging to rubber. No worries. You can repack the pulleys with high speed grease as long as there is no rust in the bearings. and don't have 150k miles of running. They have ball bearings in 'em. m |

This. I have a small shelving unit full of different lubricants/sprays/penetrating oils/fluids/etc. in my garage. Not a single one of them is WD40.

I use WD-40 to set things on fire, and that's about it.

LOL...thanks guys for the humor...lesson learned. Bought a new idler pulley...it's on its way...for the car has 184K and the idler pulley could have been the original.
