Default 09 DCT gets stuck in high gear at full stop

Hi everyone,

Was searching the forum to see if this problem was described before and couldn't find anything on the topic.

My DCT gets stuck in 4, 5 or 6 gear randomly and wouldn't shift up or down. This only happens in D-mode. Manual shifting works fine.

I took a video of this behavior. Hope it explains better -

This just started happening right after I took the car to reputable shop to perform state inspection and change rear tires. The car was up on the lift for inspection.

I'm going to take it back to the shop Monday but wanted to see if anyone have any thoughts about what might have happened and is there an "easy fix"?

To add a bit more info - rear tires are now a bit higher profile than before. Was 275-30-20, now 275-35-20. Not saying this might have caused the issue but just stating what "changes" were made to the car at that shop.

Have you tried running the car with OEM tire sizes to see if it remedies the issue? It's certainly possible that the rolling diameters are mismatched and causing the problem

I don't have stock rims and tires anymore....

When I bought the car it had stock wheels and tires. No problem.

Then I bought 20s and put 255/30/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear. No problem.

Problem started right after 275/35/20 were installed in the rear.

I would understand changing rolling diameter would have effect on speedometer and maybe shifting points.. But why would that cause the transmission to stay in 6th gear and not downshift to 1 when speed is 0mph. I mean, zero is zero, right? No matter the diameter.
