My e46 makes more hp and torque than the s65 at every rpm below 8200 (as that's my redline) and weights less than an e36m, with brembos all around and a fairly high end suspension. Plus very modernized electronics. And maclaren F1 intake sounds being all I can hear when I drive it (which I prefer to any sound coming out of the exhaust pipe of any car).

It's not exactly the original e46 experience at this point.
Do you have the CSL MAP, snorkel/flap, and related ECU tune?

I do not have the flap, as so far I've only seen evidence that it loses power when closed and makes no difference when open. Otherwise, yes.

I have an Ď11 E92 competition package, AFE intake and Remus exhaust. It is my weekend car and has 20k miles.

The M4 has all the new tech but there is NOTHING like a high revving V8. The new Ms might be faster, might have more torque and might have better tech but all of that is forgotten when you rev this thing.

Again, e9x might not be the Ďbestí car in the field but I urge you to watch the YouTube videos on the the e92. Watch the drivers face, smiles and giggles of pure driving bliss as they lean into the car.

Not going to slam the M4, it is wonderful but it doesnít make you giggle like a little boy.

Itís big, itís heavy and gets from 8mpg-22mpgs but it provides the it factor that so many other cars try to imitate.

Not sure I would say the same things if was my daily driver and I have the luxury of driving it when I need some time to forget everything beyond the glorious engine note.

YMMV,

Justo
