Default Need help

Hello guys, its been a while after selling my E46 M3 since ive been on here but im back now that I just purchased a 2012 E92 M3. I drove out from California to Las Vegas to purchase the car over the weekend and everything seemed fine until the past day which im now coming to you guys for help. This morning upon cold start the RPM's kept surging between 500-1500 rpms until I put the car in drive and started moving, it then dropped down to about 600 and stayed there. I've also noticed at stop lights the RPM's fluctuate very slightly between about 600-800 RPM's.

The other things im noticing is the car seems a bit rough when coasting between 1500-2000 RPM's. The car also feels like it lurches forward when i barely tap on the gas from a stop. Last problem im noticing is when I downshift from third to second gear it will sometimes feel as if its a rough shift and doesn't engage as smooth as it should be, every other gear feels fine. Im not sure if this is just the way the DCT transmission is or if its a problem.

Can anyone shed some light on what might be happening with the car or if this is at all normal? The car has 65k miles and came with a Dinan underdrive pulley, intake and exhaust in case this might contribute to this in any way. The seller also mentioned that there was a tune previously on it but was taken off and gave me the cable and software to put it back on in case I decided to do so.

The car came with a CarMax warranty with 2 years or 35k miles left so im trying to determine if the issues im experiencing are normal or not. If they arent then I would like to take it in to get serviced which leads to another question... Would CarMax void the warranty with the mods that are currently on the car?

Any help is much appreciated!

Most E9xM3 activity is at M3post. Could be the low pressure fuel sensor located near the drivers side strut bar.
