Default E46_TS Build Journal

Hello Everyone,

I have finally had time to sit down and start my build thread. This a long over due as this car has been in my family since day one. My father purchased this car new in 2005, and daily drove it for about 3 years. This car has been great to our family. I learned how to drive in this car, as well as was the first car I ever worked on.

Unfortunately he passed away about 10 years ago. It sat in heated garage for 4 years while I was away at college. Having graduated college, I've been able to afford bringing this car back to life. As well as all the modifications we always wanted to do to this car.

Needless to say this car is one of my prized possessions and will likely never get rid of this car.

Enough with the sad stuff, lets get to the fun stuff.

The paint on this car was very neglected, but luckily I detail and perform paint corrections on the side. This car underwent a very thorough paint correction by myself. I roughly put about 80 hours over the course of a winter. I will post some 50/50 shots below.

Here are some pictures Iíve been able to pull together.

This was when the car was stock, and pulled out from storage:

The front bumper had quite some road rash from being a daily driver. So I replaced it with the CSL Bumper (not the best picture lol)

Some of the pictures from the paint correction, the paint was very sun faded. Which was why it took so long to do the paint correction.

Pretty sure I am already a member on that page. Is the actual name of the group "New England BMW E46 M3 Owners Group"?

Very nice story, bittersweet. Great job with it so far a lot of what you have done I will do to mine as well. Like mentioned above by Tyler, it's a great way to stay in touch with prized memories.

Eager to see this progress.
