Default Re: Porsche 996 BREMBO BBK Photo DIY

Any suggestions on how to keep the factory red paint but remove the Porsche logo and put Brembo stickers in its place? I was going to try to carefully sand them off by hand and then re-clear the front of the calipers with VHT clear on top of the new Brembo decals.

Originally I was planning on stripping and repainting in orange to contrast with my IB car, but the red is in such good shape as it is, and I don't actually have orange anywhere else on the car. Just red taillights

Maybe polishing it off with compound? Or rubbing it off with IPAlcohol? Not sure if you'll be successful. At least, if it were close enough, maybe the new brembo logo would hide any remains of the Porsche logo?

I'll post back with how it goes! It seems like the logo is under the clear. Probably too hopeful to think I can get through the clear and remove the sticker while preserving the red

I originally tried this when I was going to keep my Brembo’s Red. The logo appears to be laser etched on the caliper. Look at it closely with a magnifying glass.

I did this. Lightly sand the logo off then apply brembo decal. After that, prep surface and clear with high temp clear

What's everyone running for pads with this kit? Is there a good set that covers street & track day use (FCP offers Ferodo DS2500) or should I just grab a set of Textar/ATE OEM for street and a more aggressive pad for track days? Also is there any difference between Textar & ATE? Price comes out to be the same.

Update: after reading WAY too much about brake pads I selected Textar OEM figuring I'll swap out for a track pad when I'm doing my 2-4 weekends a year. For a second I was considering the Akebono Euro ceramic pads to limit brake dust and noise on the street, but for all the great reviews out there, each one talking about reduced initial and overall performance stuck in my head way more.
