The market is certainly not down, and I think your car s priced right, just need a better ad. More interior pix, engine bay/trunk pictures, post VIN so people can run reports, mention if you have any maintenance/service records, etc.

Thanks, yea I had the price first at 10k then I eventually dropped to 9k. I still didn't get any hits so I was curious.

Thanks for the advice.

Seems low to be honest. Is anyone checking the car out?
The e36 market certainly isn’t down haha.

Agree with Texas, need better and more pictures, more detail, etc. That's a pretty lazy for sale ad.

Give it a good clean, make it look fresh and find a decent location, not your driveway.

These little things can help a lot.

And stuff like the missing ciggy lighter. Just make sure it looks well looked after.

It's not too bad. I've seen the ads with pics made with a potato, in portrait mode. And with the doorpockets full of visible junk and ashtrays full of cig butts.

And they wonder why it doesn't sell. Really!?

i think it's reasonable.... some guys really are after those OBD I cars too

I do agree making it more visually appealing will help and list out what has been done and what needs to be addressed ... if you can provide records or receipts of said parts that's always a plus in my book

If you have the stock wheels you might want to put those back on, I know I don't care for aftermarket wheels .... but that's just me

good luck

I think your pictures look fine. Many buyers will look at seemingly small details as a sign of how well the car has been maintained.

For max profit I would suggest the following simple things:
*Replace hood badge.
*Get cig lighter.
*Detail the black moldings(all sections should look black like your front license plate area with "BMW" stamped on it). I pull them off the car and hit them with shoe polish about once a year. It's quick and makes a huge difference. Maybe hit the fog light delete panels with it too, they look rough.
*Rub some Back To Black on the door handles, rear diffuser, and side markers.
*Try to shine up the visible areas of the exhaust.

I echo everything else that has been brought up in this thread.

There’s also a trend with these cars that they typically go for more money if they are stock/ well maintained ( at least the low mileage ones).

I'm going to be the honest one with you, here.

1.Wheels don't do the car justice, as overall they look sore on the car
2. While it doesn't bother me that much, most of the enthusiasts are looking for the sport/non-lux package cars
3. Suspension while nice for the track enthusiasts doesn't do much for resale value
4. The ad is lacking service history ect. How many owners, last oil/tune up ect.
5. Needs a handful more photos detailing any sore spots ect. the more the better

Your price is likely spot on, but you could possibly ask for more if the car is returned to a stock like condition with a bit more detail.

Best of luck in your sale!
