Also, how is this a "new" update? It has been available for over a year.
I think everyone wants the indivualized splash screen, besides that, I don't see any reason to go to the dealer when you can get it for free off of various websites.

Since the v32 software is the most current version, I would consider it new. When you see e9x bodystyle M3, I say/think "Hey, there's a new M3", even though its been out for almost 2 years now. There's no reason to be pedantic.

I started this thread to tell everyone about an easy improvement for their M. My intention was not to start a burnt pirated nav DVD business.

I've just downloaded v32, extracted the .rar file and burned to a CD. I followed the instructions at the start of the thread and it didn't work.

What am I doing wrong? Does the system recognize a CD or would I have to burn a DVD?

Thanks,

JP

Sorted - burned the disc using a slower rate and all went on, took about 2 minutes to load. 3D looks better but the lack of road names is a bummer.

I had that same problem, I slowed the burn speed down and it went along perfectly. Glad it worked out for you.

Yeah, the perspective mode is cool to look at when your not really concerned where your going. I just switch it back to normal mode, or even just leave it on the verbal/arrow directions screen when I am actually driving to a destination.

Night mode is kind of the same thing, its a cool feature but pretty much just for fun..

if you like the v32, try out the 2009.1 maps disc, with all the newest maps on it...great two upgrades.

Looking good, thats one of the splash screens I made, I use it in my car too.

Quite a few cars are running my splash screen across the world.

Does anyone have an update disk they would be willing to sell me for my ancient nav? My nav is from an 6/05 build so Im not sure what version I have (The DVD symbol is on unit in trunk). But I love the newer versions you guys are showing on the forum and I am not computer literate enough to burn one of these "updated" nav disks.....Is it as simple as needing only an updated disk or is there more? That one disk contains the sky and splashscreens and everything I need for perspective view? Im clueless....Thanks, -John
