Small updates here and there;
Replaced hood strut : ![]() Got 2 glove boxes they all sag, abandoned that project. Driver side door card, almost impossible to find a super clean one. Drove 100km to find out that what the seller described as prestine condition actually had a crack in it. Got a set of square K1's ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Storage time is very soon. For summer 2017 here are my upgrades: Front and rear strut tower reinforcements Front and rear strut bars Raise the car a bit Aluminium rad with electric fan conversion Aluminum expension tank Water pump Water pump pulley Delete the clutch fan And that is about it for next summer. Maybe some other wheel setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good. I like the K1 on Dakar.
As M Parallel said, it's not the glove box, it's improper installation. You are doing it wrong and wood screws are NOT the fix. |

I love Dakar.
Very cool looking car, although it is just a bit too low for my tastes. Glad to hear you're raising it up in the winter. |

Gawd, the original Dakar Gelb is such a beautiful color. Reminds me why I was such a sucker for it in '95 when I bought mine in the launch color. Good luck with build!
PS Now I'm second guessing myself ... I didn't think Dakar Gelb was available in '98, only Dakar Gelb II. Could OP please clarify the color? Last edited by ///Minivan; Fri, Nov-11-2016 at 04:19:38 PM. |

Man. I can't wait to get one of those LTW wings!
Those are great wheels BTW, super light.
