Default What the hell? Why did this just "fall" from my car?

Well, a picture is worth a thousand words I guess. I was at school today and when I came back to my car this is what I found. Anyone have any idea how much this is going to cost to get fixed/replaced at the stealer? I have an appointment there thursday for my Inspection 1 so I may as well have them fix it. Sucks though since my warranty expired 18 DAYS AGO!!!

Red X's falling off your car is not covered under warranty anyway, so at least you're not losing out on anything there.

I believe there is a service bulletin for the falling window trim, you shouldn't have to pay anything

I think this is the one M3_Dust is refering to

BMW has issued a TSB on Coupes with a door edge seal problem.

SIB 51 12 04 issued November 2004 Titled "Door Edge Protection Seal Peeling Apart"

Apparently the parts have been improved and must be changed as a pair.

Part Numbers are:

51 71 7 161 687/688 Black Door Edge Protector
51 71 7 161 689/690 Beige Door Edge Protector
51 71 7 161 691/692 Grey Door Edge Protector

This covers e46 Coupes produced up to 9/2004
