Default converting rear seat to ski pass...

Do I need to buy this part?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...31&hg=52&fg=30

Is it worth it to get more bass into my cabin?
thanks

Default knock out?

I've heard somewhere on here that the panel can be knocked out.......PM me when you find a answer, very interested in the same thing

It can be knocked out - on mine i had to drill all the rivets that held the plate there to remove that panel, be careful when doing it tho - when your inside the car looking at the plate, the left side, top and bottom are easy to drill out - its the right side you have to be careful with and once you look at you'll understand why (Seat is somewhat in the way of the rivets). I'm only talking about what i know from my car 2001 - not sure what year yours is...oh and it doesn't make a difference with base - i have a 12" eclipse with 400w Kicker amp...I did not do it for the sound by the way - i locked my keys in the trunk( long story).... I suggest you avoid locking your keys in the trunk, but knocking out that plate will help you gain access to the trunk by allowing you to grab the release for the seats, that is once you get into the car..oh and if you dont know, once the motion sensor sets the alarm off, nothing works, buttons, nada, zilch, zippo, nothing, even though i got into the car, trunk release did not work, you need the main key to disable the alarm to get the system back online.. and no, when i bought her she did not come with the valet key/plastic key, so had to break out my drill...Gotta love the alarm on the bmw

If you decide to do it - go get some nice drill bits - will make your life alot easier, have the vacum handy as well, ull need it to clean up all the metal shavings and like i said im speaking from a 2001, not sure if other years have it done differently

Default are you doing this with a back seat plate...

that is solid on the larger side, or do you have a back plate that has a metal plate covering the hole. Are there 2 different types of back plates that the larger side seat cusiuon is attached to.
thanks
