Exclamation M3 tuners in Ky??

I am wanting to get the Turner motorsports stage 3 kit (a cold-air intake kit, cat-back exhaust, performance software, and injectors and cam) but i want to get a good tune, and i can't find anywhere that will tune it ANYWHERE near Ky... and suggestions or ideas?

Trick question? The TMS comes with the tuned software for that kit, as you mentioned above. You wanting to tune the tune, or are you going somewhere else with the build? Sorry, I am confused.

My understanding is that the TMS software is a DIY install.

Edit: not for OBD1 cars, nevermind.

^So it is just a chip, right? That can still be DIY.

Doesn't it have to be soldered on? I was just saying that the Shark Injector for OBD-II is simply plug and play whereas depending on mechanical ability/competence the OBD-I may be something the OP would prefer to have done by someone else.

Nah, it is a plug-in chip, but yeah, you are correct it is not just plug-n-play like the OBDII.

I guess you learn something new everyday, I always thought they had to be soldered. By the way, you have two very clean M3s there.

Thanks! Here is a video, not an M3 but same basic deal. Sadly the guy in the video bent the chip getting it out, likely didn't hurt it, but still.

im pretty new to this, and i was told that the chip will only tune it to their specs, and to get the full potential of the car and the upgrades a proper tune should be done but not recommended

There's always a way to get "more" out of your car but im sure they have a reason behind tuning it the way they have, whether it be preservation of engine components or drivability I'm sure there's a reason to just stick with their tune unless you plan on heavily auto x-ing it or tracking it with great frequency.
