Used O2 bungs on right side to install the 2 sensors

Too close to heat shield. Even after installing in header first and then trying.

Not yet, just fixed a leak at the header. #3 gasket for blown. Received the software, resistors, and o2 sim, so tomorrow I will be doing all of that and maybe dyno if I have time, if not then I will dyno on wednesday. Very excite!

DrifterX27,

What type of stud/nuts are you using to secure the header? It does not look like the standard copper nut...

Why are you guys even contemplating fitting something without pre-cat 02 sensors or using 02 sims??

In the short term your cars will run fine. In the long term however I have seen what happens. Good luck!

Why not invest in headers that a properly developed to start with. If they were developed properly the 02 bungs would be in the right place.

I am assuming the sims are being used to pass emissions??

Exactly my thoughts.... those are not OEM parts. He's likely not using OEM gaskets either... not good.

I'm very disturbed about the O2 bung placement of these headers. That's just flat unaccepatable. Complete junk in my book.

Update:

I had used the gaskets that were supplied with the headers, and those were paper. I used the oem metal gaskets and all leaks are fixed. Did the O2 simulator box and had the O2 bung welded in the header for better fitment. Also had the Shark Injector installed and noticed a nice improvement. No CEL's and I haven't redyno'd to find out the gains.

Edit:

I did all these fixes and mods about 2 months ago. No issues so far, and no CEL's. I would like to get a nice muffler to change the sound. I had the Raceflow mid pipe installed and it sounded amazing at high rpm but crap at anything under 4000, so I removed it. Will upload a vid if I can find it.
