Thanks guys. It's been sitting for a couple of days. I'll loosen it up with a bunch of rags wrapped around it. If it leaks, I guess I'll have to wait for my next oil change. If it doesn't, I'm golden.

You will only need 1 rag just in case the old lid drips. As the car hasn't run, the canister will not be full.

I warm up the oil, remove the fill cap, and loosen the filter housing lid just a bit before changes to get out as much of the old oil as possible. On an old 'S52' car of mine, one time my brain was out to lunch and I loosened the filter lid way too much. That was annoying as it overflowed a bit.

got mine in the mail yesterday. its beautiful. hopefully ill have time to install tonight....i havent run the car in a few days so im thinking the oil wont overflow from the canister.

I live in Canada, so it didn't have to go through customs. It just showed up via Canada Post. Yours are likely on the way. I don't know how M_Clunk is handling the tracking numbers. Mine just showed up in a small package in my community mailbox.

M_Clunk. Maybe you can send tracking numbers via PM to those that haven't received theirs yet.
