I bought the Euro Diesel fan for about $57 (IIRC) from thebmwpartstore. I didn't see you post pricing but I didn't consider that price to be too exorbitant. Unlike most E36 M3 owners I actually care about having a puller fan in my car, but I'm the paranoid type. FYI I like the Euro Diesel fan because it has the protective ring to keep the blades in place, and it's super easy to remove/reinstall when doing other stuff in the front of the engine. I do not notice any additional noise (a complaint others have voiced).

Good thread revival, good info. I'll be doing a cooling system refresh soon, all this info in one place will help. Still have some searching and decisions to make. Fan delete yes/no, additional electric fan yes/no, etc.

Got a part number or hint at which 'Euro Diesel fan' you used?

Hard to tell from the pics; is this an all aluminum radiator?

Part number for the Euro Diesel Fan is 11522243303, and its $54 from TBPS. Not sure if you need the clutch (11522246042) and/or pulley (11512246129) to go with it, but that would be another $200.

As far as the MZ3 radiator, it's got plastic endtanks just like the OEM Behr on the E36 M3, only difference is that it's a 3 core instead of 2 core. It is slightly smaller in diameter, and there's a thread floating around on bfc right now debating how much that would affect it.
