Question Adjust the speed related automatic sound volume?

Can somebody please advise me how to adjust the speed related automatic volume increase setting on a M3?

Thanks

Really really easy to do. On the left side of the panel (right under the volume knob) there are three buttons. One of them has a minus/clock on it, another one has a music note, and another one has a plus sign on it. Hold down the music note until the display reads something along the lines of "Speed volume 3" or whatever it is set at. Then push either plus or the minus to respectively increase or decrease the setting. BAM! Speed volume set. If this seems unclear for some reason, check the owner's manual, these directions are in there too.

On cars with NAV

Get in the car, close the door, and turn the ignition to position 1 (accessory. As soon as the monitor comes on, press and hold the RDS button for aprox 12 sec. Using the arrow keys, near the Tone and Select buttons, scroll to heading "GAL" (German acronym for speed depandant volume) The default setting will be displayed. To change, use the number keys 1-6, 1 being less increase, 6 being maximum.

More info from Roadfly M3 forums:

I learned from this board how to adjust speed sentive volume sensitivity of US stereo NAV.
i.e., the same as Loki's Faq, but with SEL button instead of RDS.

It turns out the nominal NAV volume can be adjusted via the same service menu, and it's tied with the traffic warning system volume.
It is set at 6 from factory, and I find 0 to be comfortable yet loud enough. It goes down to -6.
