Default used m3

I am looking into buying a used 2001 m3, it's done 94k and has got bmw fsh.
The last service was insp2 and has had brake discs and pads done recently.
I have wanted a m3 for ages and am tempted by this car but am worried about the miles and expensive repairs. Any thoughts on this car - should this be a worry?

i wouldn't do it. sounds like ur on a tight budget and the e46 still costs a ton to repair, so if something happens...you might be screwed

can u do repairs urself?

Maybe it is just early in the morning....but what do you mean by that last part of this, '...has got bmw fsh'?

Being straight up with you, anytime I hear someone say they are on a budget, but want to buy a high mileage M3, I cringe. The reason is that you are buying a car with almost 100,000 miles on it, and it is a BMW, so it will probably not be too long until some repairs are needed. To do those repairs the right way is going to cost you a fair amount of money. If your budget is tight then you will probably find yourself saying, 'Well...I can put it off a little while,' or you will find yourself scrimping for cheap parts. Either way, that is not a fun way to own one of these cars, and in the long run the expensive repairs will catch up with you. Save your money for a while longer and buy a nice car with lower mileage and lots of service records, and have some cash reserves for unexpected repairs. That way you can really enjoy the car, and not be afraid to drive it for fear of something breaking.

Thanks for the feedback - that's what I was thinking aswell, just needed a bit of reasurance. I bottled it and decided not to get the car and went for a new shape 325i instead, low mileage and cheaper to run. Would still like a M3 one day but for now the 325 will do. Cheers

^ true but i just recently purchased M3 with 115k on it runs beautiful im about to get my inspection II done and a short shifter the only real issue u have to worry about with these cars seems to be valve adjustment, check up on the vanos or replace the parts, regular oil change, and maybe rtabs thats if u have a later year but i think earlier year had a recall on the rods or something
