Default Supersprint Dual Pipe resonated section 2 #044003 Brackets

Anybody know what those 4 rectangular brackets that have 2 holes each that is included in the bag of bolts and nuts is for. thumbnail.jpg

They space the brace that goes under the exhaust to allow it to clear the larger diameter tubing.



I found I only needed to use them on the brace without the exhaust mounts.

I actually didn't need them for either brace for my recent install, but the pipes do get closer to the first brace (without hangers) like Obioban says, than the second brace. Keep in mind, metal expands with heat and the pipes move around slightly, so a gap, if it's only a couple of mms or 1/16th inch, might still not be enough. My gap was over 1/4".

BUT, my hangers were brand new, and prop the pipes up better than old hangers would, I imagine.

If someone needs these, but doesn't have them, 4 washers from the local hardware store will work fine.
