Martyn, will your tool know if any of the settings have already been changed from stock? To put it another way, if I already have the speed limiter removed and I open up your program and my partial read, will your program display that the 155mph limiter is already deactivated or not? If not, I guess I could select it and it wouldn't ruin anything right?

Thanks

This can be done for some four-five different temperature areas by hacking the hex bin, but not through Martyn's tool. I've done this to my own car. On cold start, it first idles at 1300rpm, then at 1150rpm, then 1000rpm and lastly the stock 890rpm (or whatever it was). Can't remember to be exact, but it's still there.

Btw, anyone else saw Buildjournal posting about their E46 M3 6 speed manual launch control to be included in their B-spec tune?

Hey Guys, could use some help. Took my car in for the airbag replacements but there was also a new fw update for some o2 sensors(?). I’ll find the actual recall when i get back home.

TLDR: went to reflash my car. BMW looks like they fw locked my car now to their fw or newer. I can’t edit the bin.

I also can’t downgrade and use the stock fw or flashed fw.

DME reprogramming for catalytic conversation Recall campaign 08E-A03 May 2009.

Edit: I suspect it's the ecuworx tool and the new DME version incompatiability (?), checking with Martyn now.

I've successfully swapped my car from SMG to 6MT, and flashed the 6MT software.
But SMG Shift lights are not working, although i enabled them from the tool.
How to fix that?

Either your cluster doesn't support them, or you haven't completed all the required wiring in the SMG to Man swap.
