Default SMG fluid leak help

While doing an inspection I found a potential leak coming from the reservoir tube going into the SMG pump. Did some searching and it seems the red locking ring is a part of the pump and can't be replaced without buying a whole new pump. The tube can be replaced though. Has anybody had a leak at this joint and fixed it? Almost want to take the tube out of the pump to inspect but don't want to mess up the red locking ring. Also attached a picture of part of my exhaust, not sure what the hell is going on there, hopefully somebody can clue me in.

I've not had this connection apart, so can't tell you about that. I will say almost all hydraulic systems leak over time. For that reason, I'd consider cleaning up really good, then monitoring how much of a leak it is. If it takes a couple months to look wetted, I'd personally live with it and top off the Pentosin fluid as needed. Alternately, if you're having to add fluid every few weeks, probably worth the risk to take it apart and try to fix the leak.
