Question Billy boat exhaust New M

So ive been looking around for a m3 for the past week and reading these threads on what to look for! i really do thank you guys for the patience you have with me

but yet again i have another question i found an M it has 87K on the clock, one owner ever and he has records of all the maintenance done by Bmw inspection one and two! he is a 67 year old man and the car looks like it is in great condition and hes asking 15k for it!

and zero accidents

he did one thing that i dont like on the other hand tho he added a weird looking spoiler!

and has a Billy boat exaust ive never heard of this company ever!! i looked them up it looks decent but what do you guys have to say about this?

i had a 330ci previous to the M im looking for now and im not a noob to the e46 world but the M is a whole new animal of its own!

thoughts seem a little jumbled and its a little late but to sum up all the questions:

1:is this billy boat exhaust at all good?
2: is the M i finally settled on a good choice being he was the orignal owner since it got to the US?
3: What other things should i ask him if he did or not? or check for other than the things in the sticky from you guys experience?

Thank you

I have a B&B triflo (Billy Boat) muffler and absolutely LOVE it! I have been through at least 4 or 5 mufflers looking for a suitable exhaust note and the only other muffler I would change my Billy Boat for is Supersprint Race.

The billy boat or B&B exhaust is a loud but good exhaust. Ive had it before and I think its one of the better sounding exhausts. As for price, I think 15K is a great price for a 1 owner M.

I have a B&B as well and I prefer it over the SuperSprint Race. Have heard both in person and it's not even close for me........ apparently you need support parts such as headers, section I, II, etc in order for the SS Race to sound good?

B&B for the win! LOVE mine.

OP, as for the miles, don't worry about it. I purchased my car off of a 63 year old original owner with fairly high miles... very happy with my decision.

Pics won't come up. What else should you ask him? Well depends on what year it is: is it 2001-2003 or 2003.5-2006? This will pertain to the rod bearing recall.

Also, get a copy of full maintenance records. How many times each for Inspection I & II? Original clutch? Original suspension? Have the RTABs been replaced? Have the subframe mounts been inspected?

Check out the maintenance thread (sticky'd).

GET A PPI.

would it be bad to leave this deal with a car that has PSS10 coilovers 2 owners and a few mods? VS a bare Bone M?

IMHO i think it spoils the car just like its suppose to
