Looks great! So much to like about this new update.

New moldings are on my list as well.

True to form, my posts are sparse, but bare some sizable updates.

Cliff notes:
  • Threw in some fresh coils
  • Increased boost from 6.5psi -> 10psi
  • Came up on a Valentine 1
  • Attended Legends of Autobahn

First up, decided to change out the coil packs once I realized that the car had the original units from 96'. Outside of a bit of wear along the boots, the older packs still worked well, but figured w/ that many years on them, it'd be best to just replace them vs. just the boots.

Next up; a bump in boost. Hat-tip to Brett and MSportParts for all the help and parts supply to make this happen. TL;DR - the car gets pretty gnarly when it's on the boil..

A few of the must haves pictured below: 3.5MAF, larger injectors, new FPR, 3.12" pulley:

Decided to extend the the MAF wiring and tidy up the wire splicing job while we were in there

Before:

After:

Ended up coming up on a great opportunity to upgrade chargers, so we swapped my rebuilt v2 Si unit for a brand spanking new v3 Si Vortech lump. *Note: this wasn't actually required to bump to 10psi, it just ended up being a nicely timed addition while the work was being completed.

Outside of it being factory fresh, the most notable benefit was that this v3 has a self-contained lubrication system, so no more having to deal w/ an oil drain-line back to the block. Also, it sounds a bit cooler, IMO.

Installed:

Ironically enough, my wife ended up buying me a Valentine 1 as an anniversary gift. Completely coincidental, but welcomed and needed none-the-less.

Lastly, I attended Legends of the Autobahn for the first time this past summer and had the chance to display the car @ the Xpel booth. Great time, great folks, great cars. Couldn't ask for more, really.

Added bonus shot from a coffee run this past weekend.

All for now, gents.

Awesome, Carlos!

What type of power will you be putting down with 10 psi?

Nice - you're going to love it. Very welcomed power bump on this chassis. Which setup did you end up going with?

Thanks, man! Per Brett, about ~340hp. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I didn't expect too much of an increase in going from 6.5 to 10psi, but as soon as we wrapped up the install, it was like a swift kick in the butt. The car seriously hauls now and will break the 255s in the rear loose like no one's business.

I wish there was a fist bump smiley for comments like this ^, because I'd give 10x.
