Actually once screw is out you can just place the whole mechanism in place then take it out to unlock with screw driver. At least it is a bit stealthy that way. I wouldn't leave it there while driving though.

Really tempted to buy a keyhole delete off a fellow forum member. But what if your battery in key gives out? Can you pop off the delete cover? Or are you SOL.

Go in through the trunk is the easiest way. You'll have to damage the keyhole delete to get it off from outside.

When I did the keyhole delete I epoxied a few dimes in the plastic delete to prevent drilling.

I see. So It won't just snap on over? You have to do drill or epoxy it on?

No - don't associate the terms.

The keyhole delete installs without any adhesive - but it doesn't just easily pop it off. How much force it requires - I don't know as I was unwilling to damage mine.

I epoxied dimes into the delete cap to prevent drilling. I only know one other person who has done that. I only did that because I removed the lock cylinder. I think very, very few owners do that.

Epoxy is only used to add metal ONLY if you are bulletproofing the delete plastic cap from drilling. As I said above - few do that.
