It's a good car, but it does nothing better than its M counterpart while offering its own slew of maintenance issues and drawbacks. If you're going non-M E39, it's gotta be the 530i.

CRT is probably pretty good. I really thought a regular e90 ZCP was the next logical step for me when I needed to get a sedan because of a growing family. I had pretty much owned nothing but BMW's my entire life, but jumped ship to the c63. Two e30's, an e36, e46 M3 then w204 c63.
