I mean... is it that risky? The first and third gen MINIs pop and burble right out of the factory. Swapping exhausts on them increases the pops and burbles. I've owned several with aftermarket exhaust for over a decade and they've never had an issue.

New Jag roadsters have that burble pop thing going on. Occasionally doing it would be ok.

Your exhaust sounds amazing, but I absolutely hate the burble sound. Glad to see the Buildjournal tunes are doing well.

Thanks for the review! Appreciate it.

To answer some of the questions asked.

We offer tunes without backfire as well for catted/uncatted, our catted tune will pass CA smog. You get to choose what you want from no backfire, stage 1, stage 2, stage 3 (increasing levels of burble, pops/crackles, backfire)
Yes, we ask our clients to use BMWFlash to load and read their tunes.
The tune is track tested by myself and some other clients. We recommend no backfire or stage 1 for track only cars. You want to keep temps down as much as possible for track day scenario.

Our delta gains are about/ depending on supporting mods (pulley, headers, intake, exhaust, etc):
~+30whp
~+15wtq

stock: 270 whp /229 wtq
BSpec Tune + header: 297.23 whp / 242.62 wtq

We are scheduling a dyno day at EAS soon to give out updated dyno charts for catted and catless applications.

We'll also be at bimmerfest as well in California if you guys want to talk to us.

The whole back fire thing had me really excited until someone said it sounded like a 2 stroke dirt bike.

Then the video below his post validated it lol

Those were are earlier beta backfire tunes. The new ones are pretty loud.
The Samsung microphone used to record can't capture the sound properly unfortunately so it sounds tiny
