Default Anyone have info on the new Dunlop Direzza Z3, Hankook RS4 or Falken RT-615k+

I see that there's some new 200TW tires coming out for 2017 including:

1. Dunlop Direzza Z3
2. Falken RT-615k+
3. Hankook RS4

http://www.tracktuned.com/feed/2016/...-tire-overview

Anyone have more info on any of these or ordered some to check out?

Guess no one is as interested in these tires, but if anyone does care, Tirerack has the RT-615k+ tires marked down to $186/tire with an additional $100 gift card for a 265/35R18. That works out to $161/tire which is really damn cheap. Probably won't be as good as the RE-71R, but it's $90 cheaper per corner.

I'd like to hear how these perform. I'm currently using the RE71s at the track and love them- but I think we can all agree these don't belong in the 200TW category.

RS3s and Z2s are great tires, last longer than RE71s, with a little less grip. Would love to see if either the RS4 or Z3 maintains the life and steps up the grip a bit further!

I saw this. I was holding out for NT-05's and was looking for thoughts on the 615's

I think the nt05s are more realistically a 140 tread tire

On Tirerack, the 615k+ will be available starting on 3/8 (in 6 days), so I'm hoping we'll start seeing reviews soon. Even though I ordered a set, I probably won't get them mounted for a couple of months to squeeze the last few miles/laps out of the Rivals I've got on now.

After 8 track days my RE71Rs were done so I was faced with the decision of getting another set or choosing something else. I decided to go with the new RS4s. I just installed them and will be doing Streets of Willow this weekend. I'll be sure to let everyone know how they perform!

The RS4s really surprised me. After running the RE71Rs I was afraid the RS4s would feel waaay less grippy. Turned out not to be the case- I'd say the RS4s have 80-85% of the grip of the 71Rs. We'll see how they hold up over time. I'm hoping they last longer than the 71Rs.

Few things to note:

71Rs took a lap or two to heat up, then had loads of grip for laps 3-6, then began to fade off. RS4s take two laps to heat up, but then have full grip the rest of the session- no drop in grip even on lap 10, 11, etc. of a 20 minute session.

71Rs had more grip, but the limit seemed less predictable/manageable- I seemed to go from solid grip to quickly breaking loose with little warning. RS4s break loose a little sooner but with MUCH more warning and are much easier to manage and wrangle back into grip.

I run a 265-35-18 square setup on ARC-8s (both 71Rs and RS4s). The car is close to stock weight with SGT coilovers (450-500). I started at 30psi cold, after the first session I was up to 40psi hot. I dropped it down to 34psi hot and the turn-in was noticeably better.

Overall very impressed with the tires. Fingers crossed they hold up longer than 71Rs- if they do i'll likely stick with them.

If anyone has any questions about these feel free to post and I'll do my best to answer. Cheers!
