If you don't live in the desert vehicle size matters. Piloting something wider than an Hummer H1 on the roads on the East Coast is a pain in the ass.

It's .2" more narrow than an H1 and the Raptor is 7.3" wider than a '92 F150 (same year Hummer released.)

That's a driver's preference - some can handle it, some can't. Locale will have an effect on that, sure.
