So am I! (looking to meet more forum folk in the NE who track)

I track a silver E46 M3 with license plates that say 'PIRANHA' and have a Spanish flag on them -- hard to miss

^ Nice. WGI and Shenandoah are two awesome tracks.

Also look into NASA MA, NASA NE, SCCA WDCR and Trackdaze. All of those clubs run weekend events at local (within a few hour drive) tracks.

Oh they are great tracks; had the chance to drive them last year. There is a Tar-hill BMW CCA event at the end of June that will run a weekend event at VIR. I'm seriously trying to work that one out as well.

I haven't tried NASA or Trackdaze yet, but I have heard good things. I can't hit every event as it all depends on my schedule, work and that particular year.

weather is looking just about perfect for a March weekend. 66 and sunny on Saturday and mid 40's on Sunday. I wouldn't mind a little rain in the AM to shake the dust off but this will do too.

Met a few BMW owners this weekend @ the Schattenbaum event. Not sure if you're on here on not.

Weather was good on Saturday, a little chilly on Sunday but still not bad at all. Discovered my scrub BFG R1 tires were beyond shot! Car was a handful to manage with the freshly rebuilt diff and no rear grip. With even the slightest amount of throttle while the wheel was still turned it would step out. Got some good video though of me drifting, lol.

Thankfully I switched over to my street tires on day 2. Car was 2 seconds quicker on beat street tires compared to beat BFG R1's. Best part of the weekend was running ~1.5 seconds quicker on the same Z2 tires that I ran last year.

Couple of pics:
