The death was a suicide by hanging, the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement released on Thursday afternoon. . It said a full autopsy had not yet been completed.
FWIW, Michael Hutchence official cause of death was also listed as "death by hanging" iirc.

Saw him with Soungrden in the late '80s at a small club in Madison, WIl. And he was just in my studio a few months ago working on a song for the film "The Promise." Super nice, quiet guy. Very thoughtful. A gentleman. He came alive when one of my young runners start d talking to him about guitars.
