This past weekend Dan took my car into his care and it came out feeling and sounding great.

My car (purchased this summer at 116k mi. started getting codes that indicated typical solenoid issues, and also had a slight rattle. I went for a full Beisan service kit as a preventative measure. I would have loved to have done this work myself, but with no garage and without the specialized tools and experience, this was just outside of my comfort zone. Dan's work has great reviews on the forums, so I reached out to him and was lucky to find that we were local.

Dan performed the install of all the Beisan upgrades and performed a valve adjustment. He kept me posted with pics throughout the process and answered all my noob questions. Good dude, and a great intro to the BMW community! Thanks, Dan!

Recently purchased my 03' LSB with 80K miles and within two weeks of the purchase I scheduled a valve adjustment and Beisan upgrade with Dan based on his reviews.

He did an awesome job and I would not hesitate to take my car to him again. Me being the noob that I am, came with the incorrect chain tensioner and luckily he already had one in hand. He kept me updated with pictures and texts throughout the process and luckily there were no broken tabs or anything out of the ordinary aside from 17 valves out of spec! The car has been pulling like a beast ever since.

He also took the time to look over the car and Noticed some potential issues like my leaking diff and worn drive belt. Thanks again Dan for all your help and will see you soon!

Hi All-
Dan just locked down the VANOS on my 03.5+ AW 6MT.

The following were performed:
-Beisan Oil Pump Disk
-Seals Kit
-Rattle Repair Kit
-Upper Timing Chain Tensioner
-Updated Cam bolts
-Valve Adj
-Vanos Gasket

Tabs looked solid. Previous owner had the VANOS replaced in 2007 so Dan did not touch the solenoid or sealing plate kits seals as they were perfectly fine. These are easy to get to in the future...

This is the second car that Dan has overhauled the Vanos on for me and my family. I can't say enough positive things about Dan to any other 46M owners looking for similar prev maint. Lastly, Raj from Beisans speaks highly of Dan over the years since they have been in contact. The wealth of knowledge behind the S54 Vanos and ancillaries are slowly phasing out with techs at dealers and even some competent Indy shops in my opinion. PM the man if you want some piece of mind for a reasonable price.

I need to change out that darn Vanos pressure hard line. Think I will stick with O.E

BUMP for a close friend. Cheers and Happy Holidays to my NorthEast folks

-Kash

Dan did my valve adjustment yesterday. He picked me up and dropped me off at the train station and checked my vanos free of charge. He took 2 hours out of his only day off (a beautiful day at that) to do my valve adjustment. Found 11/24 valves out of spec (131k miles) and fixed them. My car even started up faster. Price is extremely cheap compared to ANY shop. I recommend him to everyone! check out my instagram for a picture of him at work @m3build
