I dont know if its possible with the construction but could different lengths be offered ? Would there be any interest?
Those are all great questions. The same questions I had as well. I am waiting to hear more about this myself and will update as I find out.

Why reinvent the wheel? BMW already did the R&D, just copy the box in good enough quality.

I think there was a hint that if they did that ie copy it exactly they might face copyright
issues with BMW. Unlikely but still possible. I heard that aftermarket floor mats with the M logo had that problem.

BMW has frequently gone after logo infringement, but I've never seen them go after part replication. I kind of suspect they said that because they want to vary the design, and that sounded like a reason they "should"... not because it's a real issue to be concerned about.

Karbonius doesn't seem to care or does something unnoticeably different (to my eyes).

Yes I suppose there's lot of direct copies of bumpers (fenders) and bootlids around so it probably isnt an issue with BMW.
Anyway Im looking forward to seeing to finished product soon I hope.

There are changes but for the most part cosmetic to make the box "cleaner" and have a better fit between the two halves. The hooks on the back are also different than OE. Functionally I think the box is the same.

For what it's worth they stopped putting the decal on the box this past year. Shame because I liked it under the clear coat.

Ah, good info Brian! Ya at least Karb will provide the decal still

I'm getting itchy here, I'm pricing Karbonius and Evolve boxes right now

Any update on ETA with this streamline?

yeah, why even dare try to improve something since society would be so much better if there was no attempt to make progress.

Yeah, that is literally the basis of product development.
