I would ditch the radiator and that's actually what I plan to do in the off-season. I have gotten the impression that these Mishimoto radiators just aren't up to the task of track use. Like Bimmerman said, you really don't want it to get this hot ever. I don't think your head gasket is necessarily in a bad state because of this one time going over 225. I can say this because I did it several times to mine and it has been many track days since without a problem.

Are you gonna go back to the OEM rad or buy another possibly better alum rad?

Was just doing some research looks like Mishi also sells the X-Line for almost the double to price is that the possible track ready Rad that we should have gotten? I see also people have very good things to say about Fluidyne.

I have the C&R, another friend has the PWR, and I have used the S54 z3 one. The s54 z3 radiator costs $150 shipped and will likely outlast your ownership of the car.

You do not need a fancy aluminum radiator IMO. The PTG e36 race cars ran that z3 s54 (aka Euro m3) radiator.

Buy track time, not fancy radiators.

I'm likely going with the Z3 S54 radiator.

Alrighty thanks for the help guys thanks for the suggestions looks like I might very well opt for that S54 Rad. I could buy 3 of them for the price of the cheapest good alum on turner.

The Z3 S54 radiator and the Euro S50B32 radiator are the same?

Zionsville here, never budges off center Mark even in 100 degree heat.

I had a Mishimoto before and would occasionally see needle rise to almost 3/4 mark if car pushed hard.

Just took at the Zionville site they seem pretty reasonably priced, but which one did you go with the Standard or Race Rad with the expansion tank?

Just had an overheat situation with my 95 m3. Currently doing the head gasket.

I do have a Mishimoto radiator...only had issues when pushing it hard on the track.

Overheat happens at end of video at 10:40 in
