Default SMG issue right after Vanos refresh (gears not changing)

Just adding some info here which somewhat related to yours.

I have a similar issue (stuck in neutral and wonít engage into gear). But my fault codes are different.

Codes:
58(088) adaptation values
32(650) selection angle cannot be engaged
38(056) on period Hydraulic unit.

Iím in the process of changing out the gps and the compression spring. If it still fails, next up is the actuator.

Last year, I already changed the motor (burkhart) and accumulator. It drove fine for a year until now.

Smg can be pita but Iím at ~200k. Knock on wood.. what other smg parts can break???

Default Re: SMG issue right after Vanos refresh (gears not changing)

I have issues after trying to reset all adaptations and having it fail on gear 4. Result was a seized gearshift selector rod joint. Replaced that. Re did the adaptations. Working great ever since...

You have a part number for what you replaced?

Do you remember the codes when you changed the motor (burkhart) and accumulator?

Let me know how it does when you replace gps and compression springs.
Thanks!

Here are the codes which led me to change the motor.

73 SMG: Load deactivation
38 SMG: ON period, hydraulic unit (OBDII:P1717)
35 SMG: Hydraulic pressure loss in system (OBDII: P1715)
