As of month 8, it looks exactly as good as the day that I put it on. No warping, cracking, fading. Looks factory.

My effort turned out like ****. I can't see how kinking at the elbow can be avoided. I am extremely frustrated at the disconnect between my effort and OP's. FTS.

I used this to do my windows a few weeks back...Also had the kinking issue but played with it till it looked decent and now I can't tell with the window closed. That stripping is pretty soft though and playing with it for too long can make it look worn.

Ya, it got better after I adjusted it while trim was installed on the car. It looks better now.

Is it one 8' weather stripping per side (i.e. if we are replacing driver and pass. side, we need 16' of weather stripping)?

No.

8 FEET of weather stripping should be more than enough to do both windows with probably a little bit left over. The only reason I can think that would require another pack is if you somehow mess up one side and can not reuse your materials.

I used a short length of clear plastic tubing that fit inside the seal.I only used it in the kink.
