This is a different seal, you can see it from the inside, but it is not the one you need to replace on the outside.

I restore old cars as a hobby and I thought I would share a site with you guys. www.mcmaster.com has just about every kind of seal you can think of in bulk or custom lengths. You can probably find the right seals and weather strip to replace anything on your car there. I hope this helps.

Has anyone done this? i did it yesterday it looks great but, how do u guys deal with the rubber tube around that elbow, it gets bent there it doesn't just turn flush like the original seal. any ideas?

Great write-up and solution.

However I prefer the preventative route: go buy this and treat your seals regularly - you shouldn't have the dry-rot problem again:

Thanx for the GOOD DIY..I just noticed my pass side rear window seal dry-rotting and wasn't sure how\$$\fix involved..now I know how to repair it come spring..
