Oh yes 1x1 indeed. Unfortunately, I really don't have an answer. What I know is that I couldn't find any slicktop specific part numbers apart from the actual skin. So my inclination is that whatever provisions a slicktop has, must also be present in the sunroof cars as well.

Been following this build/his channel and would honestly love to win it.
The back story of this car is insane to me; where it came from to what it is now blows my mind.
Also, if you've watched any of his other videos, he's a very meticulous person and I can guarantee you this car feels as solid as it looks.

Excited to see him take it around a track.

Nice sliktop sedan! This is VERY difficult to come by.

One of my E36 M3 sedan is also a sliktop with no headunit, no speaker and manual rear window. That has saved a lot of weights. I am turning it into a track car given it's lightweight nature!!

Don't see why not. BMW lists the roof panel as a separate parts.

Without sunroof: 41.31.1.977.870

Me too, except so far his only plan is to autox it once at Limerock. Apparently Tommy used to work for Skip Barber racing school at Lime Rock, so I would guess he has some track experience. Really wish he'd get one of his cars on the track and maybe influence some of the kids that hang around him to do the same, instead of destroying their cars drifting.

Definitely agreed. Wish there were more automotive YT'ers who tracked their cars and show how they progress as drivers.

If I had more time/proper filming setup I'd try and do that as I live not too far from one of the only tracks in the Midwest (Hallett Motor Raceway) lol.
Would rather take an NA Miata around it than my M3 though.
