TONS of great Italian varietals and restaurants. FF Coppola is about 2 miles away. #therealgodfather

I really feel for you being in Phoenix man, it is frickin' beyond boring. Didn't really realize you were there until now. I'll PM you when I'm in town visiting the rents. Might be stopping by one weekend in October
Ha, thats funny because when I move it won't be more than 2 hours or so from real skiing. So I know exactly how you feel. Phoenix is still sorta strange to me, but I guess that's a discussion for another time.

Definitely hit me up. It would be cool to grab a beer. I'll be in NY (upstate) the first two weekends of Oct to visit my parents and go to a wedding actually. Usually I wouldn't want to go home for so long, but early October is by far the nicest time of year in upstate NY.

You'll like it here. Denver/Boulder is awesome. I'm moving to Cali as soon as I can find a job there, but CO is pretty hard to beat. Only reason I'm moving is because I want to be near the beach. I don't like being landlocked

Hit me up if you ever need any info.

My strategy exactly. Every apartment that I look up, I HAVE to do a Google maps inquiry to see how far it is from the main concentration of resorts. So far, I'm aiming for no more than 1.5hrs and have been pretty successful in my quest. Thankfully, the SO is more than ok with this lol.

My parents moved to AZ (from NJ) when I was in college, so it's still strange to me as well. My reaction to the place was, and still is, kinda like hogger's. I've warmed up to it a bit more since I have taken advantage of all the outdoor activities it has to offer, but I will never call it home. Just can't get used to it.

Definitely will be in touch man. Enjoy the wedding as it truly is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. Fall is starting to break through here in the city, so I can imagine it will be nice and chilly come October. If you're in the city during your time here, hit me up.

Thanks for the help man, I will definitely be hitting you up for advice. I was going to start a thread in another week or two to start picking at people's brains about CO. Beach doesn't bother me so long as I have the slopes to compensate. But for you, best of luck! Maybe you can keep hogger company

You two should ask Chasen about the difference between hot and sticky southern hot.

The South is way worse than Phx, in 100% agreement there. Dry heat actually isn't that bad until it's above 105. But they dont have the same weather every day, which is what the OP is talking about

When I lived there, people always used the "at least there's no snow" line.

My reply was always, yeah, instead winter is 35F to 45F and rainy. Give me snow over cold rain any fuggin' day of the week.
