Well its kinda stupid to read what you have them for sale for and go say "no I want to pay you more!" I was under the impression thats not really how buying vs. asking prices worked. Its not mean, its an observation.
I mean, you had them listed for 1500 everywhere I saw.
For the record, I still think they were a fair price either way, but again. If I want to buy something, I don't throw someone a hundred and something bucks on top just for the hell of it.

The thing is, when you plan on buying something online, someone asks for something, and if you are planning on paying that price, you paypal them the money, then the deal is done. Anyone who is a trustworthy seller then takes the money, and ships them to you. If someone says they will pay me 1500 for them, then doesn't pay me, then someone else says hey I want to buy them, I say ok pay me, then he pays me the 1500 first, and he gets them. So based on the dozens of transactions I've been involved in as a buyer and seller, no, that doesn't occur to me. If you want a bidding war check out ebay. If you plan on selling them on the forums, with a set asking price, you should operate as a store would. The person who pays up first is the one to figuratively "walk out of the store with them." That being said if someone I trust offers me asking price, and I choose to hold the product for them, I don't take offers to sell them for more while I wait, as thats just sleazy.
Either way, something about the transaction was odd from one side of it.

For the record though I apologize for calling the person an idiot without knowing the situation though. That was unnecessary.

I was just kidding with you since there is actually more to the story.

I had to ship them and really didn't want to. So turned down many of the offers. He insisted to toss me extra money for packaging materials (the labor of palleting them set my time at about $0.10/Hour). I also threw in my OK condition doorcards. So essentially, he paid 1500 plus a few bucks for my labor and materials along with doorcards.

I was pretty vague when i rushed my post.

Well there ya go. Doorcards are worth a couple hundred bucks so my guesstimate of 1200-1500 was spot on! You got market value and quickly too, that's not very common for E36 parts nowadays.

They will look decent after a good clean. They aren't close to perfect, but they aren't ****ed either. Just the driver bolsters are quite rough. Seats like that will look nice in a car that suits their condition. I've learned to love a little "patina."
Its the only way to keep from going crazy trying to maintain these things.
