Update (11/10/2012) Baseline Dyno

I got a baseline dyno today. I am very happy with my numbers 288.1 whp. Minor mods and a custom tune is where I will begin.

Great build! I love JB E46 M3s!

Very nice stock results on Frank's dyno! Will you be getting a nice tune from him as well?

Yes I plan on getting a custom tune from Frank. He said he should be able to get me a consistent 305 whp with nothing else changed.

We had 3 other stock e46 M3's do pulls and mine was around 20 whp greater than all of them. 2 of the cars had over 100k miles on them...
Makes you think how important a properly maintained car is.

That's a huge variance in power between the 3 stock E46 M3s! Props to you for keeping up with the maintenance of your car. What I would be curious is if that 20whp reflects itself on the street and track.

Frank is really good at what he does! I definitely believe you'll be breaking past the 300whp benchmark with his tune! stash1 and I definitely agree that on otherwise stock cars, a new tune is still well worth getting! You get the gains of headers, but just an overall better driving car with no compromise!

Keep us posted!

I can't take all the credit, the car was well taken care of from the previous owner. Yea I agree over 300 whp on a stock car, worth the tune.

Update (11/21/2012) Front/rear spacers

Installed ECS Tuning 20mm front 15mm rear spacers. I'm running a 225/40 front and 255/35 rear tire on OEM 19's. Rears rub slightly sometimes during turning, big dips, and hard acceleration. I plan to get my fenders rolled in the rear, hopefully that will eliminate the rubbing.

I am very happy with the spacers. Car is planted and looks aggressive. James at ECS also helped me with a small issue I had.

Good video for reference:

Update (12/1/2012) Rear fenders rolled

Rear fenders rolled. Sorry I did not take any pictures of the process. So far no rubbing, I have rode alone and with one passenger and so far so good. I think this may have eliminated the rubbing. I will try to add some pictures of the finished product tomorrow.

Update (12/19/2012) Diff fluid change

Very easy DIY, you just need the right tools. The diff fluid stinks!
